California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) notice
Last updated: June 22, 2026
We do not sell or share your personal information.
Cat Grooming Directory does not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of — we don't do it in the first place.
This notice gives California residents a clear summary of how the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), applies to your information when you use catgroomingdirectory.com. For the full policy, see our Privacy Policy.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Site and provide what you ask for. The CCPA category headers (in italics) map our collection like this:
Identifiers — name and email when you sign up for a newsletter, submit a form, or claim a business listing
Commercial information — subscription history for paid products (Purrfect Mail, Groomer Edge, Featured Listing, Sponsored Ad, Premium Sponsor)
Internet activity — pages viewed, referring page, device + browser type, via cookies and Google Analytics
Geolocation — approximate (city / region) from IP, used to surface nearby groomers
Inferences — none drawn for profiling or advertising purposes
We do not collect sensitive personal information (race, religion, precise geolocation, biometric data, etc.) and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
What we never do
Sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration
Share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (the CPRA definition of "share")
License or transfer customer lists to third parties for marketing
Use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics
What we do with your data
We disclose information only to the service providers we use to run the Site — and only as needed for them to provide their service to us under contracts that prohibit using your data for their own purposes:
Affiliate program (Amazon Associates) — passes a referral fingerprint, not your PII
The full list with data categories per processor is in the Privacy Policy.
Your California rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
Right to know — what personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months
Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we have about you
Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information
Right to opt out of sale or sharing — already honored by default (we don't sell or share)
Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — also honored by default (we don't collect it)
Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of the rights above
Your name and the email address you used on the Site
Which right you want to exercise (know / delete / correct / opt-out)
Enough detail for us to identify your records
We will respond within 45 days as required by CCPA. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request — usually by replying from the email address on file, plus matching account information.
An authorized agent may submit requests on your behalf with written authorization and verification of their identity and yours.
